Why is it that, when you turn on the hot water in a hotel, the
hot water comes out instantly?

  1. I am not sure f this. But it maybe because hot water keeps circulating through the pipes to minimize the use of power/gas heating.

  2. Because it is meant to be hot
instant geyser / stored hot water arrangement with insulation to prevent heat loss

  6. Because the guests in the other rooms who are using hot water keep the water from sitting in the pipes and going cold. The only pipe that is unique to you is a short hop from the main to the tap, so even if that water has gone cold sitting in the pipe it gets flushed out almost immediately by hot water coming in from the trunk line.
