  1. I got 12, 10 also but i dont know if my way is right. Here is how I did it.

    60, 30, 20, 15, ?, ?

I ask myself what do i have to do to 60 to get 30.

I can subtract by 30, or multiply by 1/2.

Subtracting issued no pattern so i divided.

    60*.5 = 30

    but 30*5 = 15 not 20.

so now my issue is with 20. So I look at 30, 20, 15

30*5 gave me 15 but there is a 20 in the middle.

So I worked backwards. What do I have to do to 20 to get 15? Add 5

    15*.5= 7.5

    7.5+4.5 = 12

    I added 5 to 15 to get 20

    So i added 4.5 to 7.5 to get 12. .5 less

    12*.5 = 6

    6+4= 10

So i think there where two patterns

Multiplying by .5 and adding .5 less to each even number. Dont know if i make sense or if im right but that how i got 12, and 10

  2. The way I got it was by dividing 60 by 1,2,3,4,5,6

    60,30,20,15,12,10

The second pattern that the other poster got, I think was coincidental. Based on some property of the number 60. I don't think you can consider this the true pattern though. I'm sure it would break down somewhere, like when we reach decimals.

  3. 30 is 1/2 of 60
    20 is 2/3 of 30
    15 is 3/4 of 20
    12 is 4/5 of 15
    10 is 5/6 of 12

  5. A different way to look at it ..
    1 number = 60
    2 number = 60*1/2= 30.
    3 number = 60*1/3= 20.
    4 number =60*1/4=15.
    5 number = 60*1/5= 12.
    6 number = 60*1/6=10.
correct me if i am wrong..
