Gracie went for a morning walk and met her old friend Suzie and her
daughter Jennie after a long time. Gracie asked Suzie how old is Jennie
to which Jennie replied “In two years I will be twice as old as I was
three years ago”. How old is Jennie?
let's assume J's current age be X, so the equation will be; after two years the age will be X + 2 and three years back age was X - 3 equating as per the given condition X + 2 = 2 (X - 3) X + 2 = 2X - 6 Reshuffling 2X-X = 2 + 6 X = 8 So the current age is 8 and after 2 years will be 10 years that is twice of 3 years back age 1.e. 5.

Jennie is 8 years old.
Jennie is 8 years old today
Answer is 8 years
let's assume J's current age be X, so the equation will be;
after two years the age will be X + 2
and three years back age was X - 3
equating as per the given condition
X + 2 = 2 (X - 3)
X + 2 = 2X - 6
Reshuffling
2X-X = 2 + 6
X = 8
So the current age is 8 and after 2 years will be 10 years that is twice of 3 years back age 1.e. 5.
Lets consider jenny's is x now.
So as per the jenny's statement equation will be
x+2=2(x-3)
x=8
8
X + 2 = 2 * ( X - 3 )
X = 8
KUNY
Let x = Jennie's current age
Age in 2 Years = x + 2
Age 3 Years Ago = x - 3
Equation:
x + 2 = 2*(x - 3)
x + 2 = 2x - 6
8 = x
So Jennie is 8. 3 Years ago she was 5...in 2 Years she will be 10.
