How do you cut a rectangular cake into two equal pieces when someone has already removed a rectangular piece from it? The removed piece can be pf any size or orientation. You are allowed just one straight cut.
in this case...find out the centre of gravity of the cut-out piece and the resulting figure after cutting the piece off...the straight line joining these two points is the required straight cut...
Yeah, good luck finding the C of G of a cake! If the cake is truly a rectangle then simply cut it diagonally from corner to corner.
Alternatively, offer someone half the cake and let them cut it, but tell them that you will get to choose which "half" to eat. Now it's somebody else's problem and if they get it wrong, you get to eat a bigger piece than they do!
find the area of the remaining piece, by subtracting the original cake area by the removed piece. after that construct an equivalent triangle or rectangle which has half the area of that remaining piece and fits into the remaining piece. by doing this you will come to know the line you have to use to cut the piece in half.

Idiots.
Remove the top half from the bottom half.
We dont have to worry about the geometric positions of the cake.
Cut the cake in two halves that is upper half and lower half...
