Brain Teasers

Three people check into a hotel. They pay £30 to the
manager and go to their room. The manager suddenly
remembers that the room rate is £25 and gives £5 to
the bellboy to return to the people. On the way to
the room the bellboy reasons that £5 would be
difficult to share among three people so he pockets
£2 and gives £1 to each person. Now each person
paid £10 and got back £1. So they paid £9 each,
totalling £27. The bellboy has £2, totalling £29.
Where is the missing £1?

lol, this is a trick que
Each effectively paid 9 which makes 27. This is 2 more than what the manager now has (25). The extra two is with the boy.

If u divide 25 by 3 it is 8.3333
If u divide 30 by 3 it is 10
Returning 1 to each man makes 9
but each was to pay only 8.33333
so each has an extra .33333
.3333 * 3 = .999999 --> that is ur missing dollar

The Q is worded to confuse and is actually incorrect.

Out of the £30, 25 is in the hotel till, 2 with the bellboy and 1 with each of the 3 guests.

If you must look at it from the point of view of the guests thinking that they've paid 27 in total, the other 3 is in their pockets. 27 + 3 = 30. The 2 with the bellboy comes out of the 27 not out of the remainder.

at last
they paid to hotel manager £25
and every one got £1 as return
and room boy has £2
so total £25+ £3+ £2=£30

effectively paid is £27 only when the boy returns £1 to three of them.& the room rate is £25 .The balance £2 is with the boy.

the correct answer is 27,why room rate is 25£ and bellboy take 2£ ;
other way
they pay £30 ,each person cost £10,and bellboy return £3 ,so their cost is 27,each person cost £9;

I’ve been searching on the web trying to find ideas on how to get my personal blog site coded, your present style and theme are wonderful. Did you code it your self or did you recruit a coder to get it done for you personally?
