Permutation & Combination



A bag Contains 5 black balls, 10 red balls and
12 white balls...Atmost in how many draws you
could get a pair....?

Since there are three colors, fourth draw will definitely get a pair.

no wrong if u were really unlucky you could need 13!

Er...no. After picking out one black, one blue, and one red ball, the next ball drawn out must match one of them. So, 4 draws is correct.

No. What if all the 3 draws comes out as same color? it would need 13...

@Terminator - If you draw 3 balls out that are the same colour then you already had a pair after the second draw!

i think question is framed wrongly which is making it dead easy...how about if i reframe: A bag Contains 5 black balls, 10 red balls and
12 white balls...Atmost in how many draws you
could get a pair of same color consecutively....?
