Who did it?

Three of these statements are untrue,

Mr Red: "Mr Blue did it."

Mr Blue: "Mr Red did it."

Mr Green: "Mr Blue's telling the truth."

Mr Yellow: "Mr Green's not lying

Do you know who did it??

I see this has confused people again!

We know that there are 3 false statements so there is only one true statement.

If Mr Green's statement that Mr Blue was telling the truth were true, it would mean that Mr Blue was mean at least 2 true statements. So we know that Mr Green is lying.

Therefore Mr Blue is also lying (so Mr Red did NOT do it).

Mr Yellow must also be lying since he says that Mr Green is not (and we know that he is). Therefore the truth-teller is Mr Red.

However, the question asks who did it and Mr Red says it was Mr Blue.

Mr Blue is the answer.
