If you take a marker and start from a corner on a cube, what is the
maximum number of edges you can trace across if you never trace
across the same edge twice, never remove the marker from the cube,
and never trace anywhere on the cube, except for the corners & edges?

9 edges.
Yepp - cannot be more than 9, as the cube has 12 edges and 8 corners. Every corner has three edges coming in, but only on two of them (the start and end) all three edges can be traversed. Thus the other six corners can utilize only two of their edges and thus make three (paired up edges leading to the corners) from the 12 edges untraversable.
maximum 9 edges...
4 + 4 for 2 complete surface and 1 for connect them
4+4+2
This is not ”critical thinking” per se, but it was tricky enough for me to get it wrong. :)
