If you view the triangle as 3 horizontal strips of 1, 3, and 5 triangles, it can be seen that the top strip has a black background, middles has green, and bottom has pale blue. So, the missing piece as a pale blue background.

Viewing the triangle as 3 diagonal strips going from top-left to bottom-right, it can be seen that the colour of the objects are: right - black, middle - blue, left - green (objects on a background of the same colour appear to be absent). So, the missing piece will have a black object.

Lastly, viewing the triangle as 3 diagonal strips but going from top-right to bottom-left, it can be seen that the objects are: left - 5-pointed star, middle - 4-pointed star, right - heart. So the object on the missing piece is a 4-pointed star.; March 31, 2015 at 10:59 AM
