@Greg, Ravi and Anon #1 are correct.
If it takes 1.5 mins for 1.5 boys to eat 1.5 hotdogs, it will take the same time for 1 boy to eat 1 hotdog (or 100 boys to eat 100 hotdogs) - remember, that's total hotdogs, not hotdogs per boy.
So, a boy takes 1.5 mins to eat 1 hotdog. Assuming he can keep it up like that for 6 mins, he will scoff down 4 hotdogs. Thus, in 6 minutes 6 boys will consume 24 hotdogs in total.

Half a boy can't eat anything,
So really 1 boy takes a minute and a half to eat a hot dog and a half.
that works out at one hotdog a minute
Which in turn is 6 boys * 6 minutes = 36 hotdogs
