Chocolates

A shop sells 1 chocolate at Rs:1 each, You can exchange 3 wrappers for a chocolate. If you have Rs:15, then how many chocolates can you totally get ?

Answer is 22 Chocolates

1) with Rs:15 you will get 15 chocolates --->15 wrappers
2)15 wrappers /3 = 5 chocolates ------> 5 wrapers
3) 5 wrappers /3 = 1 chocolate +2 wrappers------->3 wrappers
4) 3 wrappers / 3 = 1 chocolate

Total chocolates = 15+5+1+1 =22

15 chocs,
15 wafers /3 = 5 wafer= s -> 5 chocs,
5 wafers / 3 = 1 choc + 1 wafer
now 2 left wafers + 1 wafer = 3 wafers -> 1 choc

totally 15+5+1+1 = 22 chocs and 1 wafer being left with you.

Rs = 1
You have 15 Rs
You can therefor purchase 15 chocolates.
The value of the "wrappers" is another distraction and has nothing to do with the equation
